- Please DO NOT shower right before your appointment. Showering right before your spray tan leaves the skins pH out of balance and will not give you the best results.
- Shave, shower, and exfoliate the night before. If you cannot shower the night before, it’s acceptable to shower 4 hours or more prior to your appointment.
- Do not use Dove products.
- Exfoliate with an exfoliating mitt or wash cloth. Do not use sugar or salt scrubs. Most sugar and salt scrubs contain oil that will leave an invisible barrier on the skin which can lead to a splotchy tan.
- A gym session or sweating right before your appointment is not recommended.
- Waxing and spa services such as manicures, pedicures, facials, and massages should be done before your spray tan. It’s recommended to do these kinds of services 2 days prior to avoid any residual oils left on the skin.
- Do not use deodorant, makeup, perfume or moisturizers after you have exfoliated for your tanning session.
- Wear dark loose clothing to your appointment.
- Have hair pulled up and not touching neck or shoulders
- Be sure to eat something before your appointment and make sure you’re properly hydrated
- You cannot sweat after a spray tan. Do not plan anything strenuous that will cause you to sweat or get wet before your initial rinse
- You will rinse in the allotted time given to you at your appointment. Ranges from 4-12 hours
- Rinse with water ONLY. Use your hands to remove all the excess cosmetic bronzer and rinse until your water turns clear
- Pat dry & Moisturize after each shower
- You can use soap at your next shower (roughly 8hours after initial rinse)
- Avoid Dove soap & bar soaps (they will strip your tan)
- Avoid using loofahs, wash cloths and oils as they will exfoliate and strip your tan
- Avoid soaking in hot tubs, baths, and overly hot showers
